The relaxing island life of the Texas Gulf Coast is in South Padre Island, Port Isabel, and Laguna Vista.

For me, the Island Life regards are a larger region that encompasses Harlingen, Los Fresnos, and Brownsville, not just the focus area for my selling real estate — South Padre Island, Port Isabel, and Laguna Vista.

The jetties on South Padre, aren’t just for watching dolphins play in the waves. It is the prime location for Space-X launches.

Apropos to Elon Musk, Space-X’s is ab growing draw. This means reduced home inventories on the island and about the region. 

The extra attention means higher property values. 

Currently, the lowest-cost property is below $200,000. 

Off the island, median prices of desirable locations in Port Isabel and Laguna Vista are falling around a $500,000 median price.

Air Padre has been the outfitter for all kit-surfing needs and lessons over the past twenty years. The co-owner is a regular at D Pizza Joint. He is always in shorts, a flashy western shirt, hat, and boots.

Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available on the island from several shops.

Sky Diving either static, tandem, or solo for the certified is available with the drop zone on the north end of the island. 

Schlitterbahn South Padre water park, a smaller version of the New Braunfels location is just after the bridge. 

Deep-sea fishing guides Salt Walker’s along with Isla Tours | Captain Murphy’s are top-tier merchants catering to the relaxing island life lifestyle of sunsets, angling and whatever else floats your boat.
