Bakudan: This Japanese restaurant in The Rim is known for its delicious ramen dishes. I am personally making a run through the menu to decide which is my favorite. We are also happy to welcome a location into the Helotes area.
Uni’Ko: This sushi restaurant is a great place to enjoy fresh sushi and other Japanese fairs to include a robust saki menu. It is one of husband’s favorite sushi restaurants because he loves to tear up the sushi.
Mexican Food: There are many Mexican restaurants in the area, but some of the best include Lupe Tortilla, Mi Familia, and La Fogata. La Fogata has awesome margaritas and incredible roasted salsa for your chips.
Movies: The Rim area is home to several movie theaters, including Alamo Drafthouse, Regal Cinemas, and Cinemark.
Shopping: In addition to the high-end shops at The Rim, there are also several malls and shopping centers in the area, including North Star Mall, Huebner Oaks Shopping Center, and Rolling Oaks Mall.
Many of the bars in the area are inclusive of the restaurant, like The Yardhouse and Whiskey Cake at La’Cantera, along with Bar Louie.

If you’re looking for a casual place to grab a beer and some wings, a burger, or tortilla poke head to The Yardhouse. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. Or, if you’re in the mood for sushi, Kona Grill is a great choice.
For something a little more upscale, try The Brazilian steakhouse Bovinos. They have a wide variety of meats, vegetables, and seafood that will fill you up. Incidentally, my hair artist, Sasha‘s husband is a Spanish classical guitarist who plays there on Fridays.

And no matter where you end up, don’t forget to stop by Carlo’s Bake Shop for some dessert!
